Be thankful. Not only can I count on one hand the number of times it has been pronounced correctly the first time, the misspellings are innumerable. A cousin has taken the trouble to add a line over the first e:&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.chordprogression.com/" rel="nofollow"&gt;http://www.chordprogression.com/&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I should ask him someday if it actually helps. Most pronounce it Fleh-sir, instead of the Flee-sir as it should be. Although that pronunciation was decided upon by someone in New York when my ancestors immigrated around 1840.
